*A LESSON LEARNED...LUNCH WITH GOD*

A Lesson Learned......Lunch with God... ♥

There once was a little boy who wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with Twinkies and a six-pack of root beer, and he started his journey.

When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old woman. She was sitting in the park just staring at some pigeons. The boy sat down next to her and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the old lady looked hungry so he offered her a Twinkie. She gratefully accepted it and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered her a root beer. Once again, she smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word.

As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave but before he had gone more than a few steps; he turned around, ran back to the old woman, and gave her a hug. She gave him her biggest smile ever. When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, “What did you do today that made you so happy?” He replied, “I had lunch with God.” But before his mother could respond, he added, “You know what? She’s got the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen!”

Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and he asked, “Mother, what did you do today that made you so happy?” She replied, “I ate Twinkies in the park with God.” But before her son responded, she added, “You know, he’s much younger than I expected.”

Too often we under estimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Embrace all equally!

*DRESSED FOR BATTLE*

Dressed For Battle

In the Might Name of Jesus/Yeshua, I put on the whole armor of God, that I will be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, for I wrestle not with the people that are in the flesh as humans but with the supernatural things that I can't see. These are the powers that comes from the darkness, and are evil.

BEYOND ANY DOUBT......
¥God's Word reveals that it is His will to heal today...
¥He has made full provision for our healing...

¥He stands ready to heal...

¥There is absolutely no sickness, no disease, no physical or mental affliction that God cannot or will not heal!

The same God who declared Himself to His people, Israel, as their Healer, saying, "I am the Lord that healeth thee" (Exodus 15:26), is the same all-powerful God today, Who will heal All who come to Him in faith.

God has said, "I am the Lord, I change not.." (Malachi  3:6): Behold, I am the Lord, the God of  all flesh: is there any thing too hard for Me?" (Jeremiah 32:27).

Jesus Christ is "the same yesterday, and today, and for ever"(Hebrews 13:8).

The same powerful, life-giving Spirit that was released to open blind eyes and heal the sick through Christ, is working within us today.

The Word of God has not changed! The very words that Jesus spoke were full of the life of God. It is just as powerful today as it was when Jesus spoke forth words of healing and deliverance. Jesus said, "...the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" (John 6:63). The same life-giving Spirit that was in Christ was in the words He spoke!

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away" (Matthew 24:35). His Word has not changed and there still flows a life-giving stream of His healing power through His Word.

Today, as we claim God's promises by faith and act on them, believing God's healing power to be released, we will be healed!

The same life-giving Spirit Who raised Christ from the dead is still working in this earth today.  The Holy Spirit is living within us and wherever the Presence of the Holy Spirit is, the power of God is present to heal!

Jesus said to the man who brought his demon-processed boy to be healed, "If you can believe, then all things are possible to him that believeth" (Mark 9:23).

David prophesies, "He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction" (Psalm 107:20).

God spoke through Isaiah: "So shall My Word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it" (Isaiah 55:11).

Receive His Word deep into your spirit, claim His promises and Act in faith to receive your healing.

Dressed for Battle
Ephesians 6:10-18-The apostle Paul tells us step by step how to prepare for our daily warfare, yet most don't pay much attention to the instruction.

Do you want to see dramatic change in your life ?
Do you want to stand strong in the face of adversity?
Do you want to overcome temptation ?
Then you need to dress for battle.

My friend, there is a very real, personal Enemy stalking you right now, waiting for the the opportunity to destroy you completely. If you want to grow & experience maturity in the Christian life, then you must take this battle seriously.
    Are you prepared today ?
Put on your spiritual armor, & follow the Lord into battle.
Ephesians 6:10-Paul urged readers to be filled with God's "power." Our union with Jesus will bring us all the strength that we need. An uninterrupted source of power for our struggle, is in Him.

Christians are to be strong, but our source of our strength is Christ. In verse 11 Paul shows us how we can grow in strength. Paul shows us the Roman soldier equipment for battle.
This is written to show us how to stand our ground against the attacks from Satan & his demons. This armor was to protect us in battle, &  the battle always comes. We must put on all this protection so we can be prepared for battle. In verses 13-17 Paul linked the armor with sources of strength that God provides.

In verse 12 Paul shows us that our battle is spiritual. Our combat is hand-to-hand combat, is intense, for we "Wrestle." This battle is not against humans, but against supernatural forces of evil, such as principalities, powers, rulers a & spiritual wickedness in high places. The refer to the mighty power, authority, strength, deceptiveness of Satan & his forces. Satan is very crafty, real, alive, & he is very powerful in our lives if we let him.

Even though we face powerful opposition in Satan, Jesus Christ is greater& with more power. (Hebrews 2:14) tells us that Jesus has gained the victor over all the evil forces. As we follow & obey Jesus we will receive His strength for the battle. When we put on His armor all the forces put together can not defeat us.

PUT ON THE FULL ARMOR OF GOD

Ephesians 6:13-17 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God,that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, & having done all, stand.
14.Stand therefore, having your loins girted about with truth, & having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15.And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16.Above all, taking the shield of faith
wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17.And take the helmet of salvation, & the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Six pieces of equipment that God makes available to believers so they can resist Satan's temptations. In verse 13 the "wherefore" reminds us of Satan's power in verse 11-12.   We must be prepare for spiritual battle by putting God's armor on daily. We must be prepared to resist Satan's attacks on a daily bases. Paul is wanting us the reader to be ready to be able to stand in the mist of battle.
Verses 10-11 explains the great resources given in God's power for facing evil.
Verse 14 Roman soldiers wore around their waist a belt, or girdle, that held a scabbard for a sword. It also held the outer garment, or tunic, in place. This belt is identified with the truth, integrity of character, that each Christian must possess. Believers who demonstrate integrity will not allow Satan any foothold in which to initiate temptation.
The "breastplate"covered the vital organs in the chest. Christians who live in uprightness of character will find the strength to resist Satan's advances.

God makes available truth  & righteousness, Those who come to God seeking those traits & admitting their own weakness will find that God will provide.

The sandals allowed the soldiers to move quickly without fear of falling. For Paul, the shoes represented a readiness to share the gospel boldly with others (verse 15). We must be ready to help the unbelievers to understand the gospel & to lead believers to obey its demands.

*Jehovah-Rapha...God Healeth Thee*

God manifested Himself as Jehovah-Rapha.....the God that healeth thee. Through His prophets, He promised to send Christ, the Messiah, Who would bring healing and deliverance.

God healed Sarah's barren womb. In her old age, beyond the age of child-bearing, she conceived and gave birth to Isaac, the son God promised Abraham. Abraham was one hundred years old and Sarah was ninety. "Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women" (Genesis 18:11).

When God promised Abraham that Sarah would bear him a son, he laughed. "Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, hat is ninety years old, bear? (Genesis 17:17).

Later, the Lord appeared to him in the plains of Mame and again promised she would bear Abraham a son, Sarah laughed. "Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?" (Genesis 18:12).

The Lord heard her laugh and said to Abraham:"Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son"(Genesis 18:14).
Now according to the natural mind, it was physically impossible for Sarah and Abraham to have a son in their old age. Regardless of the natural limitations of their physical bodies, Abraham and Sarah received the promised, Isaac was born. "Through faith also Sarah herself received strength strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised" (Hebrews 11:11).

AS Sarah received God's promise, the impossible was made possible! God's divine healing power flowed into her, giving life to her barren womb, as she released her faith and believed God would do what He had promised. The Word of God going forth out His mouth was full of His divine life and contained the power for its own fulfillment!

Our faith in God and His Word will open the doors to receive His blessings today!
~Hebrews 13:8~Jesus/Yeshua Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
