Islam's Most Sacred History Refutes Popular Misconceptions about the Prophet of Islam

Muslims often complain of the "misconceptions" about their religion in the West, yet very few seem to know all that much about the true history of Islam and its founder, Muhammad. As a result, the biggest misconceptions about Islam are often those originating from (and sincerely believed by) Muslims themselves.

As a service to Muslims and infidels alike, we hope to refute the contemporary mythology of Muhammad (popular in the West) by referring to the earliest and most reliable Muslim historians, who based their writings on the narrations of those who actually knew their revered prophet. The historical compilations of Ibn Ishaq (compiled by Ibn Hisham), al-Tabari, Bukhari and Sahih Muslim are greatly respected in the Muslim academic community as a priceless source of biographical information and the details of Islam's origin and rise to power. These writings also provide the context for the Qur'an.

Understand that it is the Hadith (traditions), Sira (biography of Muhammad) and the Qur'an together that provide the true Islamic counterpart to the Christian Bible and Jewish Torah. The Qur'an is simply the purported words of Allah arranged in no particular order. It makes little sense outside of the context provided by the other two sources.

Articles posted here will occasionally be revised and improved, and new ones added. Readers not familiar with the life of Muhammad may want to consider approaching these myths through our brief article on the history of his life: The Life of Muhammad: An Inconvenient Truth. It has been updated to include most of the same links found below, and it will help place these debunked myths into historical context - even though it is written from the Muslim point of view.

FINDING REST IN GOD ALONE

SALVATION PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to You in the Name of Jesus.

You said in Your Word,"...if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, Thou Shalt Be Saved" (Romans 10:9).

I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

I believe He was raised from the dead for my justification.

Your Word says,"...with the Heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" ( Rom. 10:10).

I do believe with my heart, and I now confess with my mouth Jesus as my Lord. Therefore, I am saved!

Thank You, Lord!

If you have prayed this prayer sincerely from your heart, then the Bible says you are now saved! To grow in your new Christian life, it is important to study the Bible and to pray every day to your Heavenly Father. You also need to belong to a good, Bible-based church where you can be taught the Word of God.

A LESSON ON PRAYER

*Meditate on God's Word, and do what according to all that is written, then shall we make our way prosperous and have good success. We are to attend to His Word, submit to His sayings, keep them in the center of our hearts, and put away contrary talk. *(Proverb 4:20-24)

**When we use God's Word in prayer, this is not something we just rush through uttering once, and we are finished. Do not be mistaken. There is nothing "magical" nor "manipulative" about it-no set pattern or device in order to satisfy what we want or think out of our flesh. Instead we are holding God's Work before Him. We are just confessing what He has said belongs to us. We are in an agreement with Him.

***We expect His divine intervention while we choose not to look at the things that are not seen but at the things that are unseen, for the things are seen are subject to change.***(2 Cor. 4:18.)

*It is not just saying prayers that gets results, it is spending time with the Father. We will draw strength, wisdom, and peace from His presence.Amen*<>

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST?

"If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus , and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto Righteous; and with the mouth, confession is made unto Salvation"(Romans 1o:9-10).

*The Scripture speaks of one believing, it simply means that one accepts Who Jesus is, which is the Son of God, and what He has done, which refers to Him dying on Calvary, Him taking our place, so we might be saved.*

*It means to accept Him, and only Him as our Savior, making Him the Lord of our life. To follow Him with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength for as long as we shall live.*

*If you have not ask Jesus to be you Savior already, let me ask you are you ready to do so at this time?*

*Do you want to be saved?*

*If you are and want to be saved instantly. I am going to ask you to believe these words and say them out loud. I am going to ask you to believe with all your heart, and if you do so,you will instantly be saved. Please read and say them at this time with me as you read:

"DEAR GOD IN HEAVEN, I COME TO YOU AS A LOST SINNER."

"I AM ASKING YOU TO SAVE MY SOUL AND CLEANSE ME FROM ALL MY SIN."

A KAFIR IS A PERSON WHO

A Kafir would be anyone who is not of the Islamic faith. This would be me because I believe that Jesus Christ is my salvation and nobody else.

I BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST HAS GIVEN ME A NEW LIFE IN HIM, HE ALONE HAS SAVED ME AND ONE DAY I WILL BE WITH HIM FOR EVER AND EVER. THAT HE ALONE IS SAVIOR OF THE WORLD.

Kafir is what the Koran and Islam call the unbelievers. The word kafir is used for the worst word in the human language. The Koran defines the kafir and says that the kafir should be hated, mocked, punished, beheaded, confused, plotted against, terrorized, killed, crucified, and made war on. This is why they see nothing wrong in acting the way they do.

The Status of Non-Muslim Under Islamic Rule

Dhimmitude: the Islamic system of governing populations conquered by Jihad wars, encompassing all of the demographic, ethnic, and religious aspects of the political system.

The word "dhimmitude" was coined by Bat Ye'or in 1983 to describe the ledal and social conditions of Jews and Christians subjected to Islamic rule. It comes from dhimmi, an Arabic word meaning "protected". The name was applied by the Arab-Muslim conquerors to indigenous non-Muslimpopulations who surrendered by a treaty (dhimma) to Musim domination.Although these populations differed, they were ruled by the same type of laws, based on the shari'a.

Council on American-Islamin Relations, or CAIR, is headlined "More In Common Than You Think," with a photograph of the old city of Jerusalem.

The "Jesus"ad, quoting from the Islam's book the Quran, reads:

"Behold (O Mary!)' The Angle said, 'God has chosen you, and purfied you, and chosen you above the women of all nations. O Mary, God gives you good news of a word from Him, whose name shall be the Christ (Masih or Messiah), Jesus son of Mary, honored in this world and in the hereafter, and one of those brought near to God! (Qur'an, 3:45).

Muslims respect and revere Jesus and teaches that He is one of the greatest of God's prophets and messengers to mankind.

Muslims however reject the belief in Jesus' divinity and regard Him only as a prophet.

Muhammand is considered by Muslims to be superior to Jesus because Islam's founder is believed to have brought God's final revelation.
